Chantell Kempijan was born February 19, 1989 and was raised in a hair salon. Her mother Adela owned Le Salon for 15 years in the Centre Mall. When visiting her mother at work she was always told to “act professional”. When she was only 15, she began to work alongside her mother. At first she was only a receptionist, answering phones and sweeping the floors, but after becoming more aware and familiar with the beauty industry, she began to learn the behind-the-scenes of how to manage a salon. When the Centre Mall closed, Adela moved onto real estate but Chantell could not let her dream and passion die. Not having college or university behind her, in August of 2007 at the age of 18 she founded NDulgence Salon and Spa. She began building the salon and her dream with a lot of help from family and close friends, and on April 15, 2008 NDulgence Salon and Spa opened and Chantell’s success began. In 2009, she was featured in newspapers across Canada and parts of the United States for being a successful young entrepreneur. NDulgence has received many Readers choice awards from various local newspapers for excellence in care.
